What we are looking for:

We are looking for sales representatives to run the booth and sell handmade jewelry at craft markets and festivals on the weekends. Someone who is outgoing, good with people, and proud to represent the Unpredictable Jewelry brand, who wants a long-term, year-round position and to grow with the business.

This isn't a casual side gig. While it's part-time and outdoors, we hold the same high standards and expectations as any professional workplace.

More Details:

Requirements:

  • 21 years or older.

  • Reliable transportation (own car).

  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs (the canopy weights used to secure the booth are heavy, this is the main lifting demand of the role).

  • Available weekend early mornings. Demand is highest in spring and fall, with some summer shows and very few in winter, but the role continues throughout the year.

  • Comfortable standing for long periods and working outdoors.

  • Fluent in English.

  • Outgoing, personable, and genuinely loves jewelry, personal style, and can talk about it with authentic enthusiasm.

  • Punctual and dependable. Once you commit to a show, we're counting on you.

  • Trustworthy and reliable. You'll be handling valuable inventory independently, so honesty and integrity are non-negotiable for this role.

  • Able to work multitasking and independently.

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable following rules set by market/festival organizers.

  • Able to take feedback constructively. Coaching is frequent during training and ongoing as needed.

  • Respectful, professional, and represents the brand well in appearance and conduct.

  • No sales experience required. Training will be provided, but prior retail/sales experience is a strong plus.

  • Having a personal bank account to receive payments.

  • Legally eligible to work in the US, with a Social Security Number (needed later for W-9 tax purposes).

What The Role Involves

  • Picking up/Dropping off  inventory and equipment.

  • Engaging customers and guiding conversations toward a sale.

  • Following the specific rules and guidelines of each market or festival.

  • Setting up and breaking down the booth.

  • Packaging and handling orders.

  • Staying positive and approachable, greeting every customer with a smile.

  • Processing payments (Square app and cash).

  • Multitasking to juggle multiple customers at once.

  • Keeping the booth tidy, organized, and on-brand, resetting the display between customers.

PAYMENTS

Shows of 4 to 7 hours:

$20 per hour

Shows of +8 hours:

$25 per hour

Reimbursement:

For parking fees, and for out-of-town/multi-day shows: $10 for gas and $30 daily for meals.

Timing:

You will receive your payment through a bank transfer within 4 days after each show, not on a monthly cycle, so you don't have to wait long to see your earnings.

Tax Info:

Paid as an independent contractor, through bank transfers. If your total earnings for the year meet the IRS reporting threshold, you'll receive a 1099 form at the end of the fiscal year.

Pay is structured based on the total length of the show:

WHAT WE WILL PROVIDE

You will receive hands-on training during your first two to three shows, including setup of all the booth, payments system, customer interaction, sales process, and breakdown.

You will have a complete equipment for the booth, that you will be responsible for, including: canopy, weights, tables, chair and decor.

Payment system hardware, that you will be trained with and will be responsible for.

Standard Operating Procedure, a guide that covers booth setup, sales process, show-day rules, and a FAQ list so you can answer anything that costumers could ask and troubleshooting, so you always have something to check while you're working.

The jewelry for the day with the inventory list, that you will be responsable for.

A vibrant and uplifting working environment surrounded by artists, live music, and happy people.
